We encourage our clients to participate in charitable and socially conscious activities both in their hometown and the city where their club is located. Grandslam is prepared to assist the athlete in foundation development, event planning, media awareness, fund raising, and any other charitable program in order to achieve this objective.
Grandslam has had the privilege of assisting in the planning and implementation of several charitable organizations such as: The Shaun Alexander Foundation, The John Jackson Foundation, Chasing the Cure Foundation for Chase Blackburn, and the Frank Martin Family Foundation. Each foundation has raised money to significantly impact local communities.
In addition Grandslam has assisted Clients in marketing, planning and implementing their own fund raising events, including golf tournaments, football and basketball camps, bowling tournaments and other client requested events.
As an example our staff assisted Chase Blackburn (Giants 2005 – 2012; Panthers 2013 – 2014) with the concept and formation of his charitable foundation, Chasing the Cure for Cancer. With Chase’s vision, Grandslam handled most of the administrative activities for Chase’s fundraising golf outings in Columbus, Ohio. In addition, Grandslam assisted Chase in one of his many community events, football camps for youngsters in the Columbus, Ohio area.
After De’Sean Butler (West Virginia basketball, 2006 to 2010 ) was drafted in the second round by the Miami Heat, he wanted to develop a plan to have youth basketball camps in the state of West Virginia. We helped convert his vision into multiple such camps in multiple cities in West Virginia. Grandslam also helped plan multiple appearances for De’Sean, including a signing event for fans at the largest indoor mall in Charleston, West Virginia.
